Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
Dear Uncle, Would it be possible to make FahMon detect EUE's (esp. for the GPU2-client) and give a visible warning? Maybe in an extra column, so you can show if there have been EUE's and how many. It would probable by usefull to be able to configure the timespan that FahMon verifies: i.e. if you're...

Re: Suggestion
I think we have had too much speculation about BOINC vs. FAH already. Bringing it up again doesn't change the previous answers Rattledagger. BOINC would not be faster. It's SMP support is to download 4 work units, one for each of the 4 processors, NOT to process a single work unit 4 times faster li...

Re: Suggestion
Bruce and 7im, I am new to Folding but I am also a DC oldtimer and some of what you say makes no sense to me. I am a dial up user and the fastest way for me to finish and return a WU is to allow me to cache ONE extra WU. For example, I have two ATI Radeon 3850 video cards which I recently bought fo...

Re: Suggestion
The newer way of thinking about things is essentially a test of whether the formula I used to calculate the percent chance of folding is accurate. If everything is simple, that simple exponential formula applies, but experimental evidence, let alone Murphy's law, would seem to indicate that things ...

Re: Suggestion
I'm currently participating in both BOINC and FAH. There will always be some time that the powerful GPU computation power be wasted if no cache of WUs existed. I like to keep my CPU and GPU busy all the time, otherwise they're just idling around and not doing anything good or productive. Which part...

Re: Suggestion
Yes, but how much does delaying the return of a completed work unit to download a new WU hurt the performance of the project, and does the few minutes of idle time you avoid more than overcome that delay? With such a large focus on getting WUs completed and returned to Stanford faster and faster fr...

Re: Projects 551x - Multiple EUEs
You can check if others returned the wu or not right? I guess it might have been my pc, as I said something seemed abit odd when that happend ( was switching my secondary display around from tv to secondary monitor when it happend and it seemed like the driver reinitialised as well ( which normally ...

Re: Request for Sig Image Dimensions Increase
It's not about the data, it's about the red H on the image I have the [H] is my current signature now, so that will not change. I am proud of my team and what they do for this project. And you have every right to be proud, that's not what I was saying. I was pointing out the team agnostic policy of...

Re: Request for Sig Image Dimensions Increase
Both images show the same data ... I think we have strayed from there request ... it is not which stats you like the best. It is a a request to increase the pixel limit for the forum signuature. For me the logo kind of puts it off don't you agree a bit? I can't promote XS here either, as logo on so...

Re: Explicit/Implicit ratio?
I'm with you flathead, absolutely correct :) On the other hand, there is an existing unbalance between ppd and scientific value which has been talked about extensively both on the forums and I imagine internally in the PG, yet no attempts have been made to correct the issue. Social engineering with ...

The results haven't been returned in your example ... so I don't find the report in the database. He has serious problems uploading anything, he been advised to come here and post his issues himself already but not everyone feels as if it has much use ( as it's been said to me, don't kill the messe...

Not the same RCG afaik but same project, I don't have details it's not my log but from a team member who doesn't feel like it's appriciated to report the eue's.
