Re: missing credit server 155.247.164.214
These weren't my WUs, but I feel like I should point out that all of the ones goodcya and comixgoddess mentioned to in this thread are still showing as "not found" on the wu status page. Did this ever get rectified?

Re: missing credit server 128.252.203.1
I've also observed WUs uploaded to this server not being recorded. The following WUs were all uploaded to this server and none of them show up on the WU status page presently: 2020-11-18T15:37:44Z: project:16454 run:5 clone:4 gen:125 2020-11-19T05:42:17Z: project:16455 run:0 clone:1446 gen:202 2020-...

Re: HOWTO: How I got my R9 290 folding on Linux
I've updated the OP with instructions to add the fahclient user to both the "video" and "render" groups. We knew about the "video" group already, but I just tried a new install on Kubuntu 20.04 and found that it did not work because on this installation, /dev/dri/render...

Re: Feature Request: Pause at next checkpoint
Why not just write a checkpoint whenever a slot or a kit is paused? The CPU cores do write when they are paused or are otherwise gracefully shut down. The GPU cores, as I understand it, operate differently. The CPU sends work to the GPU in large "chunks" (there's probably a correct term f...

Re: Over 2 exaflops!
It's also getting into summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and people don't like their rooms getting hot or AC bills going up

Re: Over 2 exaflops!
In my case, actually, the attic is always too hot and the basement is always too cold. Equalizing them would be an ideal solution.

Folding in the summer (Was: Over 2 exaflops!)
It is expected that during summer upto half of FAH home PCs stop folding because of too much heat and power usage with air conditioning running. In autumn when users remember FAH again, especially cause of Corona-Virus rises again in parallel to influenza, hopefully they all return. And now can use...

Glad you got it solved.
I have to ask though, what the hell does "chooch" mean?

Re: What happens with the research from all these WU?
Fair enough, but then I will rethink my commitment as a non U.S. citizen for U.S. research labs. There is a political component, it's not just science. U.S. authorities try to get exclusive access to vaccine manufacturers all over the world. You may call that selfish. We need rules for this. The WH...

Re: What happens with the research from all these WU?
Or is it possible that a nation, probably U.S. under Trump denies other countries a possible vaccine in order to cure Americans first? Then i would stop crunching proteins right away. Any nation that manufactures vaccine doses will likely use them to treat their citizens first before exporting it. ...

Re: F@H Discord Server
There's a developer section?
Edit: Oh, you were replying to the previous poster asking about third-party tool development. There is indeed a section for that.

I do not use Discord because of privacy concerns and their hostility to third-party clients. Perhaps consider an IRC or Matrix room?

Re: Feature Request: Pause at next checkpoint
That figures, actually, since GPU computing generally processes data in large chunks for efficiency.Joe_H wrote: GPU WUs pause at set percentages that are set by the researcher when the project is set up. Depending on the project, typical values are every 2-5%.
