Re: The worst software I have ever seen.

I would also add, those that are dissuaded by hiccups are likely to quite sooner rather than later anyway. Some people just get riled up at problems and throw up their arms, others roll up their sleeves and figure it out for the joy of the thing. I dont think F@H needs to solve for the former group,...

I think it could be the server, it’s been failing to upload WUs for me and others if you poke the “issues with specific servers” and even another thread in this sub

Re: I received a WU that was already credited to someone els

Hey Bruce,

I wanted to point out that this particular server appears to be causing multiple issues (See threads in "issues with specific server"

I have a WU that fails on uploading every time at 0.51% uploaded.

Best,

Re: F@H Mobile Monitoring for iPad

I am no expert but I would imagine there are wrappers for deploying nearly unmodified iOS/Swift projects to Android, albeit with a performance hit. Seeing as the features of your app don’t really require low latency/high performance, there may be a nearly plug and play solution, if you’re at all int...

Re: FAHMM on iOS? Anyone got it working?

Yeah I didn’t have any luck using device discovery (which the website for the app says will use Bonjour or rDNS to identify F@H clients inside the LAN.

I have not had it running long enough to see what happened when DHCP leases expire for clients on my network, I guess I’ll find out lol.

Re: FAHMM on iOS? Anyone got it working?

Re: network config Yes you can set static IPs for all your devices, however modern DHCP routers shouldnt be changing your assigned IP addresses willy nilly, and modifying your DHCP configuration so that you can monitor F@H clients seems like overkill. I recommend whitelisting the 192.168.1.0/24 doma...

Re: FAHMM on iOS? Anyone got it working?

Indeed, I did get it working just fine. You need to restart the computers hosting the clients you have added, after adding whitelist IP or password and IP. You can use for example 192.168.1.0/24 to open access for all IP ranges inside your LAN, so the field would look like: 127.0.0.1 192.168.1.0/24 ...

Re: F@H Mobile Monitoring for iPad

Wanted to say thank you for this app, works really well.

As a tip, I would add a note in the app UI when adding clients that client hosts may require a full system restart before populating.

I didn't test, it could be only the network stack that needs restarting, but TBH a system restart is simpler.

Re: Project 14588 is BIG :)

I'm crunching 14588 (0, 715, 4) on my 3950X and it estimates TPF at 57 seconds and an ETA of 1 hour 25 mins. I didn't really think about it when I've seen it pop up a few times over the last week but now that you mention it, tasks typically take 10-15 mins or so, so it must be quite large. Great in...

F@H Control for iOS

Hi! I wanted to point everyone to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=24886 which was started by the creator of this app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fah-mobil ... d683734944 which I installed on my iPhone today and got my 3 clients slaved to. The way it presents stats, slots, and clients is rea...

Re: 10000 cores to donate for 3 weeks. Help me set up FAHCon

Ive been getting steady CPU:18 jobs, currently working https://apps.foldingathome.org/project?p=14409. I have a couple CPU:8 macbook pros set up as well and they seem to idle mostly, so It could be the 4.4Ghz 20T setup getting love from the assignment servers based on estimated points? Some project...
