Re: F@H 7.6.13 + RTX 2080 Ti 456.55 Windows Crash

We only need HWMonitor to see whether your temps are okay. You don't have to let it run the whole time for this. It's just a matter of minutes, looking how the temps evolve at idle and under load. If the temps are okay, we can look elsewhere. If there is a temp problem, we can try and solve it. That...

Re: F@H 7.6.13 + RTX 2080 Ti 456.55 Windows Crash

You can install HWMonitor: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
It gives you the present temp and the min and max temps for all connected sensors in your PC. That will tell us rapidly whether there is a temperature issue.

Re: F@H 7.6.13 + RTX 2080 Ti 456.55 Windows Crash

I looked up the thread and didn't find anything about the CPU. Could it be that it's not sufficiently cooled or that the cooling is not properly installed? How about the CPU temperatures (idle, under load)? Otherwise, all I can think of now is to swap the possible culprits (PSU, GPU, CPU, RAM) to is...

Re: F@H 7.6.13 + RTX 2080 Ti 456.55 Windows Crash

You can access those cables from behind. The PSU shroud of the Carbide 275R is open on the rear side. Just take off the back panel and you will figure it out easily.
And, yes, you should find another 8pin PCIe cable in the material that came with the PSU.

Re: F@H 7.6.13 + RTX 2080 Ti 456.55 Windows Crash

A PCIe power cable (with 6 or 8 pins) can only provide a certain amount of power, up to 75 W for a 6pin cable and up to 150 W for an 8pin cable (with a good PSU). And the PCIe slot of the motherboard also provides max. 75 W to the Graphics card. If your Graphics card can draw more, it needs to have ...

Re: MY compu seems to freeze

"plenty of stock"... ha, ha, ha  It was the largest supplier in Switzerland: they had two units... So they sent me the second one, and as it was bad too, but still useable up to 800 W, and the resupply was "unknown", I kept it as a reserve and bought something else for the b...

Re: Granular control of GPU slots

I would ask Lenovo if they can come with a solution or a workaround. It strongly looks like a bug in their system.

Re: Granular control of GPU slots

In Advanced Control (aka FAHControl), which you will find in the ^ menu of the taskbar ("Show hidden icons", on the right side of the taskbar, then click the molecule icon), you can set an option called pause-on-start = true for the GPUs slots (Configure -> Slots -> double-clic the GPU slo...

Re: @ajm / Lar_systems / HFM

If you load Lar's extension in Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... nicbgfahoe ), your data will be added to Lar's database, classified by system (Win/Linux). We thus never really know whether the configuration is the same, but in your case, you'd be the only one running an RTX 6000 o...

Re: Windows 10 + rtx2060 with 460.79 = dumped slot

The RTX 2060 is not detected as such.
There have been such glitches recently with newer Nvidia drivers. Maybe this one is affected as well.
The solution was to revert to older drivers, or to just delete the latest drivers and let Windows install the standard version.

No such problem (nor any other) here after installing this update on four folding PCs (2x7.6.21, 2X7.6.13).
