Um, the client.foldingathome.org installer page might fix, it uses web control instead of fah control. I did not like fighting with FAHControl either, but it works now.

Malware-- try going to client.foldingathome.org. click on the line that says install folding at home.

I usually fold a 13870 in about 2.5-3 hours. And it has been known to say 24 or more hours. Just to reassure you.

You might try to use the Web Control. It turns its status ball to orange when the client is paused or idle because it is not getting a WU.
