Re: Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and Folding@Home

There don't seem to be any direct driver support for FAH and the Raspberry Pi's internal graphics chip.

Folding on a raspberry Pi CPU (4x 1,2Ghz) is slower than the minimum '1,4Ghz single core x86 CPU' required.
You'd probably run out of time, before finishing the WU.

Re: PCI-e bandwidth/capacity limitations

Saw this post in Puget Systems HPC blog and thought Dr. Kinghorn’s method for reducing the number of PCIe lanes available to a GPU with Post-It Notes was a neat solution for testing throughput and with a longer Post-It Note could be extended to x4 or x1 For 1x folding there are risers available. So...

Re: iostream stream error: Access is denied.

Web Control still does not work in a normal Chrome window but it does work in an Incognito window. It also works in an Internet Explorer 8 InPrivate window. Any ideas? I don't know if Eset NOD32 is interfering with the Web Control but if that were it why would both browsers work in Incognito and In...

How fast is current hardware folding?

I read about graphics cards folding for hours, to get only a few milli to microseconds worth of folding data.
Is this true?
How fast are current graphics cards?

Do you think hardware will ever come to fold at near to real life speeds?

Re: folding@home cannot detect my gtx 1070

Its not difficult, IF you know where to look and have kept up on all the forum threds on these issues, - watch for the guide in a couple of weeks, it will be distro specific but its better than nothing Hi Nathan_P, Were you, by any chance, able to create the guide? Needing help with installing Open...
