Re: A plea for more cancer projects

csvanefalk, how are your clients configured ? My (dual socket) smp folders only get 609x projects :(
The project description states "This project will run on both single and multiprocessor clients. "

Re: FCI: Folding@Home Client Info (Web based client monitor)

Hi Smokin', great work as usual ! One comment for the documentation: Today I installed the client on a Fedora 17 (live cd to harddrive installation) and had two small problems: The last command for building the # Getopt::Mixed is "rpm -Uhv ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/noarch/perl-Getopt-Mixed-1.10-1.fc17.no...

Re: is bigadv really "folding"?

I don't like how Punchy is "attacked" here for his questions. I think we donors have the right to know what is going on in this "f@h project" and where the focus is. So many people think they are fighting cancer or Alzheimer's (look at the many team forums), they would be disappo...

-bigadv is influenza only, right ?

Hi guys, parsing through my logs and comparing them with the project descrition I saw that all of my -bigadv WUs (and -smp WUs I got during the "bigadv drought") were influenza projects. Not being interested in fighting the flu but cancer, what can I do ? I searched all project description...

Re: Two identical servers, different performance

Have you checked if all cores are used ? Sometimes my Xeons have one core stuck in C1/Halt mode until I restart the folding client. CentOS though, not Windoze.

Giving the client a different machine id did the trick. I don't understand why, but now it's folding bigadv (a2). Thank you guys !

Hmm, instead of being redirected it's sitting there, trying to get work from 171.67.108.22 and doing nothing else. Faulty algorithms on Stanford's side or do I have to reconfigure the client ?

Hey guys, it's getting weird. I let the WU finish, got full points again and ... got the WU again: [02:39:53] - Shutting down core [02:39:53] [02:39:53] Folding@home Core Shutdown: FINISHED_UNIT [02:39:55] CoreStatus = 64 (100) [02:39:55] Unit 6 finished with 52 percent of time to deadline remaining...
