Project 7611

I just noticed my computer is crunching a Project 7611 WU. I read the Project 7611 technical description and noted this very interesting information: Project 7611 This project involves additional sampling of the FiP35 WW domain shot from the ultra-long trajectories run by DE Shaw on their new superc...

Re: Why Am I Getting A Different Point Count Total With Pass

Great News!! After installing and enabling my passkey, I (finally) surpassed the minimum WU threshold to qualify for bonus points a few days ago. I am now getting my QRB bonus points, so all is well with the world. (Now, if Dr. Pande and his team can create a new project that goes after the alpha-sy...

Re: Why Am I Getting A Different Point Count Total With Pass

Can you please post few WUs that you have done with your username/passkey so that we can lookup and see if you are getting the QRB points or not? PantherX: OK, here is a (multi-day execution) Work Unit I'm currently crunching which has just under 4 hours of remaining execution time. Project 7809 (2...

Re: Why Am I Getting A Different Point Count Total With Pass

... ... Your Username is All the WUs (a set) Your Username+Passkey is the QRB WUs from All the WUs (a sub-set). Thus, you need not add anything to get your total points, just look-up your username to get all the points under that name. Hopefully, it is clear. If not, please tell and we will try to ...

Re: Why Am I Getting A Different Point Count Total With Pass

Some Servers (specifically the old GPU ones) will not register the passkey for that WU, only your username. For those WUs, it is not a problem since they are not in the Quick Return Bonus plan. Those WUs which are in the QRB Plan will be registered with your passkey plus your name. Username -> All ...

Why Am I Getting A Different Point Count Total With Passkey?

OK, I’m totally confused as to what my actual point count is since I obtained (and enabled) a passkey. I obtained a passkey late last Saturday – which was six days ago. For the first 144 days of folding (without a passkey), my cumulative numbers are as follows: Day:144 Total Points Accumulated (repo...

Potential Diabetes Breakthrough

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma1yk19yYGY If these initial results in mice are replicated in humans, this would be very good news indeed. In the United States we currently spend $200 billion annually for treatment of diabetes – with probably half of that cost picked up by taxpayers. If betatrophin ...

Re: How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Unit

Have you completed WUs with the passkey? If you haven't, then the servers have no record of you returning results with that information. To get bonus points, you'll have to complete ten WUs with the passkey and then maintain an 80% successful return rate (no errors, before the deadline, etc). Jesse...

Re: How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Unit

OK, I went through the process of obtaining my "secret" passkey and I also configured my FAH V7 client to look for this passkey - I think. After I did all this, I checked my stats and got some very interesting results. When I do a query the way I have usually done a query (i.e. only enteri...

Re: How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Unit

The WU was returned at 03/05/2013 12:59:08 GMT and the server processed it within 10 minutes at 03/05/2013 06:09:57 PDT. If you have purposely removed the passkey from the log file, did you make any other changes to the configuration? Is the passkey entered correctly? PantherX: I have no idea what ...

Re: How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Unit

Hi Lawhonac (team 0), Your WU (P10138 R26 C4 G19) was added to the stats database on 2013-05-03 06:09:57 for 1534 points of credit. That doesn't seem right. I had a (fairly large) 2.60 day ETF - I believe it was a Project 7808 or Project 7809 WU - that started executing on Tuesday. Based on a [proj...

Re: How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Unit

Have you searched the previous logs for entries? Moreover, if you posted the section of the log which shows the completion of the WU, one of the Administrators/Moderators can look up that WU and tell you how many points you were awarded for it. PantherX: OK, I've extracted the text of my log file g...

How Can You Check on the Status of "Completed" Work Units?

In the past week or so, I have had two relatively large multi-day execution time WUs which appear to have successfully executed. The problem is that I appear not to have received points for these completed WUs - or much fewer points than I was expecting. The latest example is a 2.60 day ETA Project ...

Historic Achievement

-- Name starts with Lawhonac 1 Lawhonac 661,465 1000 Well, it only took four months (virtually to the day) for my slow poke computer, but tonight I reached a major folding milestone – completion (and successful return) of my 1,000th work unit! The joyous event occurred around 9:30 P.M. local time wh...
