Did it actuyally download from the faulting WS or did it download from another WS? ... and have reported the issue to the dev/researcher for 128.252.203.11 Different work server, apparently. 15:00:44:WU01:FS02:Assigned to work server 207.53.233.146 15:00:4...

Cannot receive GPU WU?
Getting a bunch of errors over the last half-hour (-ish) on my GPU slot. Re: 18113 extremely low PPD (25% usual) and low GPU utilizat
I am of the opinion that all future GPU projects be assigned exclusively to NVidia supported cards with a Pascal/Turing or Ampere architecture GPU, until AMD's support team decides that they want to work with the FAH team to fix the performance issues. I will hear no more from Lisa Su about wanting...

It is, yeah. Just finished it and assigned an 18201 - back up to 625k, no other changes, reboot, anything.Neil-B wrote:Is the clock running at usual levels?

18113 extremely low PPD (25% usual) and low GPU utilization
As above - Radeon 6600xt running 21.8.2 drivers
PPD currently under 200k on this project, while I usually get 600k-700k. TPF is over 7 minutes.
Checking GPU utilization, and it's sitting at 40-60%. Unlikely core bottleneck at fault, as CPU is an Intel Core i9-9900.

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
The only way AMD would listen is if they were losing money by not selling their GPUs to FAH folders. Unfortunately, the reality of the current supply situation plays in AMD's hand, here. They HAD lost my money by poor Folding performance. Was 100% going nVidia this generation, as I had every previo...

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
OTOH: I might go ahead and be the guinea pig who tries the latest AMD drivers, after running DDU (in safe mode). Time for me to take the literal "jab in the shoulder", and test a work around. Paul If you have a way to get good a-to-b numbers from it, that would be really interesting to se...

Re: RX 6600 (non XT) new budget king out now!
It needs to be tested in actual folding performance before we can say that it's a good buy for folding or other types of compute workloads. There are some issues with performance with AMD drivers for some people, and AMD cards also lack the kind of support that Nvidia has given to Folding@Home (wit...

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
I have one machine with a RX5600 that than ran recent drivers, then I switched maybe a week ago? I will see if I can figure when each driver as applied to do a project breakdown Thanks - not that I think AMD is paying attention, but if we had some hard data comparing the same project on the same ha...

Re: New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems b
i did briefly, before going back to 21.3.2, but it will take time for project level stats Hmm. Curious if you get any more experience with it. Last couple days on 21.8.2, I was pulling 700-800k ppd on the 6600xt. Today with 21.10.1 I didn't manage better than 400k ppd over 2 different projects. Rev...

Re: Which GPUs to buy 07/2021
Hi....The least expensive new and not obsolete GPU is the GTX 1660. Going somewhat further down the stepping stool, you could get a GTX 1050 Ti. Then again, in the event that you have an AM4 motherboard, a 5000 series APU might be a decent other option, on the off chance that you to be sure don't g...

New Radeon drivers - 21.10.1 - performance still seems bad
As above - new drivers posted.
Release notes: https://community.amd.com/t5/knowledge- ... a-p/491713
Installed on my 6600xt, performance still seems as bad as any other recent release. Anyone else have different experiences with it?

Re: Any way to get Navi (Radeon 6xxx) GPUs to perform better
so only solution (besides hacking the older drivers): spam all available AMD social media feeds and their bug report utilities with these issues I was about to question this, but sure enough the Radeon driver interface does have 'poor performance' listed as an option in the 'report a bug', so...wor...
